For Another Great Year: Employee Anniversary Gift Ideas

Whether your company is turning five or 50, business anniversaries are important milestones that should be celebrated. Show your employees that you appreciate all of their hard work and dedication with these employee anniversary gift giving ideas.

Benefits of an employee anniversary program

Initiating an employee anniversary program not only makes your employees feel valued, but there are tons of additional benefits that many companies experience when introducing recognition programs.

One of the primary benefits is that employee anniversary programs can be a great way to boost morale. For big milestones, such as ten years in business, you may also want to consider expanding the outreach of your party to include customers, suppliers, and the surrounding community. This is a great way to build stronger relationships with your friends and neighbors.

Treat the guests to something extra special

An anniversary party is an appropriate time to present your employees and other supporters with a nice gift. Some companies will opt for a tiered system of gifts, giving the employees that have been with the company the longest a more expensive present than newer employees receive. Other companies will opt for a more equitable gift distribution system. For an extra nice touch, consider treating the spouses of your employees to a gift as well.

If you are unsure what gift you want to present to your employees, you may want to do something nice for them instead. Before the big party, for example, you could have all of the employees over to your house for a gourmet luncheon.

Log Cake

If you are looking for a truly traditional dessert, consider a New Year’s Log Cake. To make the cake, beat egg whites until frothy before adding sugar, vanilla, and ground nuts from our Grand Nut Party Assortment Tin. Complete the batter with flour, nutmeg, and cinnamon before baking.

After removing the cake from the pan, top with a mixture of whipped cream, sugar, and amaretto, then roll up the cake and finish with more nuts.

5 Ways to Give Back During the Holidays

The holiday season is the perfect time to share what you have with others. Make your community a brighter place by joining Hickory Farms and giving back during the holidays in these five ways.

Donate your household items

Items that you no longer use can be a welcome addition to another home. Donating your items to charitable organizations helps you recycle your goods, while the funds that are raised through their purchase go toward programs to help low income families, such as job training and resume preparation.

Volunteer your time

Make a day of service an annual part of your holiday celebration. Gather your family together and read about the various philanthropic charities working in your area. Then, decide how you can best give back. Whether you would like to serve food at a homeless shelter or organize baskets of toys for children in need, volunteering with your kids can teach them important life lessons.

Drop off a gift

Expand your holiday gift list to include a few people that you don’t know. Stop by a local hospital ward or a retirement home with a festive gift basket to share delicious treats and a few laughs. You are sure to make someone’s holiday season a little more special and come home with a few new friends.

Cook a feast for the hungry

Family dinners are an important part of any celebration. Share the joy of a great meal with less fortunate individuals in your region by packaging up holiday meals and handing them out to the homeless.
