October is one of our favorite months here at Hickory Farms. Along with the crisp, cool days and gorgeous foliage, October is also Cookie Month, making it the perfect time to bake a batch of nutty cookies for your fall party or festive Halloween celebration. To give our customers some inspiration, we’ve chosen three recipes guaranteed to please. If your mixture of oats, butter, egg, vanilla is too dry, add a splash of some almond milk to the mix. Bake the batter on an ungreased cookie sheet for approximately 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 375°. Let them cool on the cookie sheet for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cashew Cookies These nutty favorites taste even richer with the addition of sour cream and some chopped up Hickory Farms cashews. However, the real decadence lies with the burned butter frosting. Melt butter over medium heat until light brown, then add some heavy cream, confectioner’s sugar and vanilla and spread on the cooled cookies. These deliciously rich treats are sure to get rave reviews at your next harvest gathering. Nutty Butter Cookies Try lifestyle maven Martha Stewart’s nutty butter cookie recipe, which can be tailored to …
